Business Hours/ Pricing/ Service Areas

Pickups and Drop offs of hardware by personnel take place on Saturdays and Sundays between 11 am to 3 pm EST.

We do in house/office calls. However, if the job is more in depth we will have to pick up and drop off the equipment to work on it.

Please allow up to 24 hours for a reply, as we are a small team. We take great pride in what we do and handle every case/customer in an in-depth, personal, careful and insightful manner.

*We reserve the right to deny service to anyone.

Pricing

We do not have any special packages, bundles, or cost per services rendered. We simply have a pay-by-hour system; Parts & Labor. Our cost per hour is $95.00. We break the hour into quarters, so you do not pay more than you need to. A $5.00 service charge will be added for any pick-ups, or in home visits-within a 5 mile radius. For every 5 mile radius there will be an additional charge of $5.00, rest assured that this will cap at $20.00.

Estimates will be given prior to the start of the work and after initial assessment. Payment must be made in full prior to building/repairing your computer.

If we begin a repair job and something comes up where the cost will change, you will be notified and you must agree or disagree before repairs/builds commence. The difference in payment will be collected before any work is continued. If for any reason you do not want to continue using our services, we will try and get your computer back to a functioning state before we release it to you (unless there is no possible way to do so).

We hold the right to resell your equipment, or use for parts, if the bill is not paid in full within 30 days of receiving it.

We take check, cash, credit or debit cards.

– We will not begin work until the check is cashed into our account.

– Credit card fees, if there is one, will be added into the final bill.

Areas

Currently we service Madison, Mayodan, Greensboro, Eden, Reidsville, and Winston-Salem, NC.

Transparency

We will set up a personal Google Docs notebook with a spreadsheet that will allow you to see exactly what we are doing, where and how your money is being spent, and a progress timeline.

Terms of Service and Liability

Shipping

We are not responsible for lost shipment and/or damage caused during shipping. If at any time you ship a computer to us, you MUST pack the computer properly. IsItUnplugged.com is not responsible for any damage caused by improper packing.

We require to be paid in full before shipment. We hold the right to resell your equipment or use for parts if bill is not paid in full within 30 days of receiving final bill.

When the computer ships, the amount of time it takes to reach you depends solely on the shipping method you choose when you place the order. USPS/UPS/FedEx transit times are rarely missed, but are guaranteed only by the carrier, not isItUnplugged.com, and you must pursue a refund with them if your shipment is late. All shipments are fully insured, and in the rare event of shipping damages, isItUnplugged.com will handle the entire claim process so that you don’t have to. Please note that all our packages are shipped with a signature requirement for security.

Please take into account that delays can happen. Keep in mind of weekends, holidays and weather delays.

Computer Repairs

Desktop PCs are generally repaired within 10 business days after delivery/pickup is received. If any replacement parts needed are not in stock, the total time needed to complete the repair may be extended. All our PC repairs are guaranteed for 30 days, yet this guarantee does not cover new symptoms.

Rest assured, we do strive to make our delivery deadlines all of the time as we know this is extremely important to you. You may change your shipping option up until the day your order is shipped.

Computer builds will/can take longer than 10 business days due to us not keeping stock at our disposal.

Refunds, Returns, and Order Changes

IsItUnplugged.com bills all orders at the time the order is placed. Within 30 days of shipment, you have the option to return your hardware for a refund. There will be a $50 charge for any change made to orders already in progress.

All refunds and cancelled orders are subject to a 20% restocking fee.

All returned hardware must be undamaged, in original packaging, and in as-new condition.

The following are not eligible for return or refund:

– Open, or activated, software

– Shipping costs of any kind

– Special order items, services, and/or peripherals (eg. monitors, keyboards, mice, speakers, or any   other external equipment)

– Quantity orders and orders over $3,000

Purchases

Components purchased through isItUnplugged.com may be returned within 30 days. If a component fails or is found defective during this term, isItUnplugged.com will accept a return for full refund. Component purchases returned for any other reason carry our standard 20% restocking fee. Our technical support service, labor warranty, and shipping warranty do not apply to parts store purchases.

Limitation of Liability

IsItUnplugged.com is not responsible for damages or costs that are the result of accidents, misuse, disaster, or abuse of your computer. Any time you ship a computer to us, you MUST pack the computer properly. IsItUnplugged.com is not responsible for damage caused by improper packing; Modifications, overclocking, BIOS or firmware updates, and/or repairs made to your computer system by anyone other than isItUnplugged.com. We may void your warranty due to noncompliance. We are not responsible for any losses or complications that arise as a result of a computer failure, or delay, in the production or repair of your system.

Hardware

For all parts, we adhere to the manufacturer of the hardware’s warranty.

If, for any reason, and after a thorough investigation, the builds or the work we do malfunctions (Not manufacturer of Hardware/Software based items), we offer a free 30 day warranty on all of our work.

We love to overclock and squeeze every bit of performance out of our hardware. However, we do not guarantee, or are we liable for, any damage done to a customer’s computer if they do overclock their systems. There is a wealth of information online about overclocking and we highly recommend doing extensive research.

Hard Drive/ Solid State Drive / Data Loss

We strive to obtain any and all data from your malfunctioning storage device. However, we are not responsible for any loss data or corrupted drives.

Privacy Setups/Installs

While we offer Clean and Private setups/installs of an operating system; we cannot guarantee that it will be kept in that state. Operating system updates, done at your own discretion, will most likely break all privacy precautions – as updates can reset all privacy functions. Lastly, we do not guarantee your privacy if you give your information to advertisers and/or companies.
